"Stonechat" and "Cuckoo's Nest" are two rurally located self-catering cottages set on the world-famous Causeway Coastal Route - just outside the town of Ballycastle on the road to Ballintoy. The  Giant’s Causeway is just 10 minutes away by car, while the exhilarating Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge is only a 5 minute drive.

The cottages were recently mentioned in the British Sunday Times travel pages as 'pick of the season's new rentals' because of their excellent location with fabulous views and acres of space. They were the only Northern Irish cottages included on the list.

The cottages offer an ideal base for those wishing to explore the North Antrim Coast. Lovingly finished to a high standard (view our picture gallery) they perfectly blend country and modern living. Within the grounds of Crockatinney, there is a 19th Century Famine Graveyard, which is untouched as a mark of respect to those buried there. The original stone walls and gate remain to this day. The large area of surrounding natural terrain is full of wildlife - if visitors are very lucky, they may even hear the call of the elusive cuckoo! The cottages are also within walking distance of Kinbane, a 16th-century castle, which remains one of the North Coast's hidden gems.

Crockatinney Estate is owned by Francis and Mary McGinn and comprises Crockatinney Guesthouse, managed by their son Francis Jr and partner Caroline, and Crockatinney Cottages and Stables, managed by their daughter, Roisin.
